Bye, bye to the Betsey Johnson blue chiffon slip dress that I wore to a wedding 7 years ago. And to the Bebe wool gabradine vest and ugly Kenneth Cole pumps that worked okay for the stint at the corporate job. And to the Laundry velvet corset that isoh-so-Goth (and I am oh-so-not). And to the Barney's lime green blouse that makes my skin look yellow. And to the James Perse khaki t-shirt with the bleach stain on the back.
I have purged my closet of these and many, many more lonely and forgotten items. It's five bags for Good Will and a big pile for Ebay.
In an afternoon I've managed to feel chartiable (the donation), financially responsible (the tax write-off), and make some money (look for some swanky auctions soon) all by cleaning out my messy closet.
