Palm Springs Art Museum

Took a day trip to the desert to check out the Palm Springs Art Museum last month. It's a gem. I especially enjoyed the impressive and sophisticated collection of contemporary artists. The special exhibition Women of Abstract Expressionism was stellar and moving.

Thomas Houseago's lounging creature greets visitors out front. I love the globs and exposed rebar. Just inside is Nara's sleek puppy. The post's thumbnail is a delightful little owl by Picasso.
