I'm baking a lemon cake. Right now.
Tonight is a work night: I'll be spending a few hours tasting through older vintage red wines with some people in the business (rough, I know).
I thought, "Hmmm...wouldn't it be refreshing to have an ice-cold glass of Champagne (I picked Pierre Moncuitt, Grand Cru) and a nice slice of a tart lemon cake with berries after tasting all those deep, brooding Cabernets!"
And I hate to arrive places without a little something something.
We'll see how it comes out. The dog may be having lemon cake for dinner and I'm picking up donuts on the way there.
Now, what fab thing shall I wear?
