LOS ANGELES (AP) -- It's the stem-cell, three-strikes, closed-primary, DNA-arrest, Indian-gambling and lawsuit-limiting election. Confused? So are a lot of voters here. Besides voting for president, Californians are facing a catalog of ballot questions so challenging -- 16 in all, more than any other state -- that virtually everyone at one early-voting location was clutching a cheat sheet to keep the numbers and issues straight.
Yes, only it's not cheating when you take notes with you to the polls, it's just plain smart. So go ahead, fellow Californians, print out this list and take it with you tomorrow.
