As a collage artist I tend not to throw any paper away–it's potential material for the next artwork. This makes for a somewhat unruly studio, but once I get digging around in the stacks, I always find treats. Recently came across the original 2 pieces from what has become my logo:
a serif-happy S and legs.

Man, I love those patent leather lace-up heels. Need to remember to wear them more often.

Swirl Smell Slurp is a wine blog I co-designed and created with Jason King. We've had a lot of fun.

Since it's inception in the Fall of 2009 we've drank an enormous amount of wine, much of which was sent to us for free (why didn't we start a blog about diamonds? or real estate?). We've met some really cool people, been to some entertaining and boozey events, gotten purple teeth, taken a lot of cabs. We've tweeted a bunch, including with some of our food and wine idols. We've posted a lot pictures and snark on Facebook. We also won an award.

More recently we were in a magazine, part of the cover story no-less (my hair looks awesome in the pictures and I made some rather pithy wine reccommendations). And then as soon as the issue hit the newstand, we quit updating Swirl. We also quit smoking. And for many months, drinking. But that's the storyline for another blog. Maybe.
